John Hibbard becoming the Brush Boarding expert
March 28th, 2008
John is our most regular pro-rider. When he's not off doing photo
shoots for Fat Face (take a look at their latest catalogue…) or
Starboard, or entering comps in foreign countries, he can be found at
the Brush Boarding HQ. John says “It helps me with my core
strength, and it's a tonne of fun as its own sport”. John is an
all-round boarding guru, leading the way with Paddle Boarding most
recently. He was the first to hang-ten while Brush Boarding - there's a
name in that trick there somewhere waiting to be found. Thanks for your
support John!
Ben “SkinDog” Skinner endorses Brush Boarding
February 23rd, 2008

Ben “SkinDog” Skinner is our first pro-rider to try Brush
Boarding. “Dropping in from the top totally feels like the face of
a wave”, says SkinDog, “I'II totally be back”. Ben is
featured in the pre-release video that shows his hanging-five while
Brush Boarding, overlayed with a photo of him hanging-ten on a real
wave.
The Brush Ramp is Ready
Dec 27th, 2007

After two and a half years of R&D The Brush Ramp is finally
complete. Kyle Dent, the Founder of Extreme Sports Zone and inventor of
Brush Boarding had a slightly delayed Christmas present. When announcing
the completion of The Brush Ramps design, Kyle's face looked like that
of his two young boys just two days prior when seeing all the presents
Santa had left for them. “I just knew we could find a way to bring
board sports to people in an environmentally friendly and safe
way”, noted Kyle, “With Brush Boarding people will be able
to experience sports like surfing and snowboarding before spending the
money to travel. You don't need to get wet to Brush Board, and you don't
need a special outfit - just get on it… Hey, that should be our
catch phrase!”.
Brush Boarding is a new board sport that simulates primarily surfing
and snowboarding. Different riders use varying board shapes when Brush
Boarding. Surfers go for the longer boards so they simulate carving down
a wave; skateboarders go for the shortest boards so they can practice
their tricks; Snowboarders want it all so they can move up and down the
ramp, and try new tricks.
